3. Hygroscopicity: Low moisture absorption, stable under dry conditions at room temperature
4. Thermal Conductivity: Moderate thermal conductivity, excellent thermal insulation and flame retardancy

1. Prone to thermal decomposition; decomposes into magnesium oxide and water at high temperatures with heat absorption for flame retardancy

Applications:
Magnesium hydroxide is applicable to paints, plastics, cable materials and various rubber products, serving as an eco-friendly flame retardant for the rubber and plastic industry. It integrates three functions: flame retardancy, smoke suppression and toxicity reduction, and filling modification. It can improve the fire safety performance of products and reduce emissions of harmful flue gas. Meanwhile, it acts as a filler to optimize material properties and control production costs. Non-toxic and widely compatible, it is a commonly used multi-functional additive in the manufacturing of rubber and plastic products.
